My friend Jenna sometimes writes fanfic. I am lucky enough to be the recipient of her fanfic. And, with her blessing, I have created an AO3 to share her fanfic with all you lovely people. :)

Blanket disclaimer: All this is fiction, people. Fiction about fiction even.

Title: I Am Natasha Romanoff
Fandom/Universe: Avengers MCU
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: 790
Warnings: None. Minor cussing. That's it.
Notes: Written because Jenna found it funny that I spent my driving lessons going "I am Natasha Romanov, I am a master assassin" whenever I found something difficult. And then she started doing it too.
Summary: “Because you are Natasha Romanoff. You are a master assassin, and if you can kill a man with your thighs then you can park a goddamn car in a goddamn bay!”

Here on AO3

Title: New York State of Mind
Fandom/Universe: Avengers MCU
Pairing: Clint/Natasha
Rating: PG-13
Wordcount: 2198

Title: Stay

I apologise to anyone who doesn't give a shit about fanfiction or the Avengers. I know that, for some reason, there seems to have been a lot of it on my journal lately. I'm not going to stop obviously - it's my journal - but liklihood is, this is it for a while. :)

Title: Hymn from a Village
Fandom: MCU
Rating: PG-13
Pairings: Clint/Natasha
Wordcount: 1,143
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: Watch me as I write fiction about fiction. Also, if I owned these characters, they’d have at least a film trilogy to themselves by now. And each one would be written and directed by Joss Whedon.
Beta: The wonderful [livejournal.com profile] shenshen77, who has been wonderful once again.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] dictator_duck’s hometown challenge. I was never going to try writing about my uni town of London, because that’s boring. So I tried York, where I live now, but that totally didn’t work for me. So you’re getting the tiny village of Slaidburn in Lancashire where I grew up. Everything written here about it is true, down to Isobel at the pub. Oh and if you want to see it, type BB7 3ER into Google Maps. Yes, it really is that small. The title comes from a song by James.

Summary: They passed a sign in front of the small church informing them that they were entering Slaidburn, and it became very apparent that this was one of those small British villages that, in your old age, you would talk fondly of growing up in.

Title: طائر غريب (Strange Bird)
Fandom: The Avengers
Rating: PG-13
Pairings: Clint/Natasha
Wordcount: 5,889
Warnings: Crack? Slight crack? Tranformywhatnow? Eh?
Disclaimer: Watch me as I write fiction about fiction. Also, if I owned these characters, they’d have at least a film trilogy to themselves by now. And each one would be written and directed by Joss Whedon.
Beta: The wonderful [livejournal.com profile] shenshen77, who has been ridiculously encouraging. Any remaining mistakes are my own.
Notes: So I read a couple of stories like this, and then woke up at five in the morning one day and this was sort of just there. Russian and Arabic translations from Google Translate, so apologies if they are inaccurate.

PS: if anyone knows where the quote at the beginning comes from, I’d be eternally grateful. I’ve been looking and I can’t find anything. I’m starting to think someone just made it up.

Summary: Natasha Romanov’s life was saved by a man who had once been a hawk, though she did not know this at the time.

Title: Just Another Day
Author: My friend Jenna, who doesn’t have a LJ account.
Fandom/Universe: Avengers MCU
Rating: PG-13
Pairings: None
Wordcount: 1910
Warnings: None. Minor cussing. That's it.
Disclaimer: This is fiction people. Fiction about fiction even.
Beta: Me, I guess.
Notes: This was written by a friend of mine and, as far as I am aware, came from my wish to have short story about the poor schmuck whose job it is to clean up the city after superheroes plough through destroying everything. And also Chris Evans being the sweetest guy ever to exist.

Also, I have crossposted this to [livejournal.com profile] avengers_2k, but if anyone knows somewhere else it can get crossposted to, please let me know! I only know of Clint&Nat comms. :P

Summary: Outside POV; He had joined SHIELD to do something exciting with his life, to be a hero. They had told him that the unsung heroes were just as important, and handed him a mop.

Title: Half of What You See
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG-13/12A
Pairings: Gen with background Sam/Jess and OFC/OMC
Wordcount: 14,170
Warnings: None. Well, swearing.
Disclaimer: Watch me as I write fiction about fiction.
Beta: My friend Jenna and [livejournal.com profile] hells_half_acre.
Notes: My friend Jenna wanted me to sign up for NaNoWriMo with her. I laughed and said no and then wrote this for no apparent reason. Seriously, I’m as surprised as the next person. Additional notes at the end.

Title from Heard it Through the Grapevine and is weirdly better out of context than in.

Summary: Outside POV, Stanford era: In her first year of college a rumour went around about a guy on the floor above her who'd turned up with only two bags, a laptop and the clothes on his back. Which is, y’know, odd, but whatever.

part one || part two || on ao3

Notes: I’m a Brit. I’ve never been to Stanford, or even America for that matter. I know nothing about the American university system. I know nothing about what courses you can take or when the holidays are. I had to look up when Thanksgiving was. I had to keep reminding myself that it’s “apartment” not “flat” and “movie” not “film”. I keep forgetting you can’t drink before 21 (sucks to be you).

Basically, this could be horribly inaccurate, in which case, let me know! [livejournal.com profile] hells_half_acre, the wonderful person that she is, Ameri-picked it for me. However, she is Canadian, so it’s not fool proof.

OH and if anyone was wondering, Amy’s Halloween costume was based on a mix between this character and this character, both created by gingerhaze on tumblr. One day I too shall dress like this for Halloween, and everything will be shiny.

Title: Watch the World Burn
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: R
Pairings: None.
Wordcount: ~1700
Warnings: Horror and general unpleasantness, death of minor characters, really vague spoilers for the Hunger Games and Supernatural, slightly less vague spoilers for 3.12 Jus in Bello.
Beta: My friend Jenna.
Disclaimer: Watch me as I write fiction about fiction. Kripke owns Supernatural, Suzanne Collins owns the Hunger Games.
Notes: Sort of what I thought it would be like if the worlds of Supernatural and the Hunger Games collided. Not fun, as you’d imagine.

Summary: Outside POV. Everything was normal, until suddenly it wasn’t.

Title: It’s saved as “Probably a Very Bad Idea” – it has nothing to do with the story and only refers to the fact that it is probably a very bad idea

Author: Me

Rating: God knows, PG13? What’s that in Britain? 12A?

Beta: Well, [livejournal.com profile] zegia looked over it a while back for me...

Wordcount: 1364 (about)

Notes: This is the result of an epiphany I had the day before I went to see the Klimt exhibition in Liverpool. I could tell you the date but that Klimt ticket is in my room at home and not here. It was a while ago though. Like, over 2 years ago.

Blame is to be placed on the following: The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, Cloud Atlas and Ghostwritten by David Mitchell, a photo I found in the Sunday Times Magazine’s Spectrum feature a while back, Tracing Paper by [livejournal.com profile] kaitoucheckers and everything ever written by [livejournal.com profile] light_fingers - or maybe just books in general - for making me think I can do this when I probably can’t.
